The experience of living in a home built from natural products gives one the feeling of pride, contentment, and security. Michigan School of  Stone Masonry at NettieBay Lodge is committed to preserving the relationship between man’s ingenuity and nature by offering courses that are essentially a hands-on introduction.

The most logical and successful method of teaching stone masonry is to lead students through all operations. Techniques learned in this manner are internalized in such a way that they are not soon forgotten. During most sessions students complete a project; weather, energies and time permitting. Thoroughly taught are all of the basic steps one must go through in stone masonry.
