NettieBay Lodge
annouces
upcoming Michigan Predator Hunt
NettieBay Lodge has developed a
program offering hunters and youth the opportunity to gain valuable skills in an
environment that encourages fun and success in the outdoors. This exciting new program,
Michigan Predator Hunt Team Competition, is directed at hunters who want to learn outdoor
skills in hunting Michigans coyote, bobcat and fox.
The statewide events are currently
being planned and organized by Mark Schuler and Dave Baideme at NettieBay Lodge Hawks, Michigan. The event
begins with a Thursday, 6:00 p.m. Hunter's Meeting on predator hunting and the
event ends Saturday at 7:00 p.m. with a banquet and trophies. Trophies are awarded on a point system with special emphases toward youth.
The Michigan Predator hunt is an
event designed solely for hunter enjoyment and youth participation. Entry fee $60.00
per person (includes Banquet). Prizes are awarded to all teams registering an animal..
With the competition starting
on Thursday evening, I hope this doesnt discourage anyone. A Thursday beginning
should provide at least one quiet night in the woods, without snowmobile activity. And,
ending the competition at 7:00 p.m. Saturday allows 48 hours of good competition (2 night
hunts, 2 morning hunts, 2 all day hunts) everything is fair.
ALL DECISIONS BY THE
JUDGE ARE FINAL
The Banquet begins at 7:30 p.m. Prizes,
plaques and trophies will be awarded at that time.
Thank you for your participation. A complete
list of rules will be found on the website. We look forward to hunting with you.
